Why is important that schools teach about nutrition?

Hi Lisseth,

That's a great question, and I will answer with my opinion about why teaching nutrition in schools is important.

Educating children so that they can develop into capable human beings should include learning what is necessary for physical health and growth. That is the subject of nutrition!

Without that knowledge, as we see so much of in our society today, health epidemics such as obesity, diabetes and a host of other illness will keep doctors and pharmaceutical companies in business but hinders the development of a strong and healthy society.
