Understanding and dealing with changes in the body as it ages so you can play the game of life
by Anna
A healthy life style is subjective. If you are talking about the physical body only, then you have to understand that the genetics of each body is different and bodies change with age so taking care of it changes throughout its different stages as it grows older.
There is not a standard guideline for all bodies. Each person should understand their own body's needs on a one on one basis.
Example: Some bodies do well with a lot of meat and some bodies don't. This is why low carb diets with mostly meat work well with some bodies and not with others. Of course this could change as the body gets older.
For example: A person whose body never did well with a lot of meat gets older and now craves meat, why? Loss of growth hormones that the meat provides. Of course this may cause intestinal problems for this body, so the person needs to figure out how to give the body growth hormones without eating red meat all the time.
A young body has a hormone make up that keeps it looking a certain way. So a person gets used to eating and taking care of it in that state. People with young bodies can mostly do whatever they want to them and it does little physical damage, or so they think.
Depending on the person, damage is being done but the body is still in good enough shape to repair itself to some degree. But as the liver, digestive tract and other organs start getting clogged things start happening. As the body gets older, the hormone and chemical makeup starts to change. The person has developed habits that are now are hard to change and that is why problems start to happen to the body.
No matter what you do, how you take care of a body, a 80 year old body will never look or act the same as a 18 year old body. People have to accept that fact. Who in their right mind would rather have an 80 year old body than a 18 year old body? The young bodies are less of a distraction, that is why people try to keep the body young.
Bodies get old and they die. That is a fact and a cycle of life on this planet. The trick is to handle the body in front of you so it is not such a distraction and a problem all the time... Make the changes that it needs when it needs it and get on with playing the game you want to play in life.
