Restless leg syndrome

by Mary
(Sacramento, CA)

Restless leg syndrome, how can i treat it?

Dear Mary,

Thank you for writing. Although I cannot give you personal advice, I can give you information about the condition and related factors that might help you make informed decisions about how you want to treat the condition.

"Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is characterized by an irresistible urge to move one's body to stop uncomfortable or odd sensations.

It most commonly affects the legs, but can affect the arms and torso.

Moving the affected body part adjusts the sensations, providing temporary relief."

- From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Although a cause for RLS has yet to be found and published, we do know that muscles and the nervous system require the proper nutrients (such as specific minerals, vitamins, proteins and fats) and pH balance in the human body in order to function well.

Physical problems, such as RLS, can be helped by learning and applying sound nutritional practices, as well as regular physical activity, restful sleep and effective stress management - the factors that the body needs in order to function properly.

So if any of these areas need some tender loving care in your lifestyle, I suggest that you learn about them and use the knowledge to improve your health :)

This site is all about providing you with those basics of health.

Cheers,
BB
