Question about reactive arthritis, infection and stress

How do I get my body to better combat the infection or stress that caused my reactive arthritis. I refuse to believe that this is a lifelong condition. I am only 24 and want to get my life back to 100%

Thanks.

Thank you for your question. I had a similar response when I was basically told that I wouldn't get much better in regards to my health issues. I just did not believe it and started looking for solutions myself.
This website is a product of continuing research and evaluation of health related information, plus actual application and observation of results.

The first thing to understand is that a great many health conditions can be improved. Health improvement depends on having useful information and tools that you can actually apply to get the results. A significant barrier to doing this comes from the truckloads of omitted, misleading and false information existing about health and wellness today!

But really, it boils down to the simplicity of understanding what the body needs to operate optimally and the ability to apply that knowledge.

You've mentioned a couple of things. One is "reactive arthritis." The first tool to use in gaining a better understanding of anything is having a clear concept of what the terms mean.

I'm sure you know that "reactive arthritis" is joint pain and swelling triggered by an infection in another part of your body. (Ref: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/reactive-arthritis/DS00486)

Arthritis is a form of joint disorder that involves inflammation of one or more joints. There are over 100 different forms of arthritis. (Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthritis)

To get your body to better combat the infection or stress that caused your arthritis, you'd want to educate yourself on the immune system and what it needs to be healthy (so it can successfully fight infection) and also educate yourself on what stress is and how you can be in control of the effects of negative stress.

You'll find a few articles on this site that will get you going in the right direction. Because I have personally observed it to be true, handling stress is the first area of education and improvement. Contrary to current beliefs, stress is completely understandable and is not some freakin' disease that you need drugs for or can't do anything about.

If you made all the best health choices but failed to handle stress effectively, you'd spin your wheels. Unmanaged, negative stress produces destructive hormones which tear the body down.
You can start with this article on handling stress as your first step to improving your situation: How stress affects lifestyle.

Nutrition is intimately tied with your health. What one eats and drinks affects the pH balance of the body, which is fundamental to proper functioning of all the biochemical processes that need to happen in order for the body to work - including the immune system.

This article about pH will give you a good foundation as you educate yourself about nutrition, and gives you a simple tool to gauge your progress as well.
A pH definition.

And may I refer you to a simple and enjoyable activity that will not only improve your health all around, but especially strengthen your immune system by helping the flushing of your lymphatic system: Mini trampoline exercise.

I wish you well on your health improvement journey!

Cheers,
BB
