Living a healthy lifestyle (whether it be eating or physical activity) is all about moderation

by Jewel
(Sooke BC Canada)

Your point taken!! I believe that it's all about being aware that the FDA in the US allows food manufacturers to fill our food with unnecessary and sometimes addictive additives and preservatives, so we become regular consumers. Then we get sick from the additives (toxins) and then we're at the mercy of a doctor - this is what keeps the economy going...

If the so-called "healthy lifestyle" people were so concerned about this, then they would stop filling the food with S**T for the Americans to become overweight from the addictive ingredients (sugar being the biggest killer)...

Quite frankly, I believe that everything is good in moderation... It's all about marketing and media... even though we have an overweight society and cancers etc., the government isn't about to change anything as this is what keeps the governments and pharmaceutical companies thriving!!

Anyway, my family eats relatively healthy, we still have sweets etc, we're not overweight and we think we're living a pretty healthy lifestyle - so that's healthy!!

Moderation is key to living a healthy lifestyle
by: B.B. Martin

Hi Jewel!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions about what living a healthy lifestyle is for you. I agree totally with your observations that it helps tremendously to be aware of and alert to heavily processed foods that are advertised as "healthy" or natural so we think they're good for us.

Yeah, look at the nutrition fact label
at the ingredients and if you can't pronounce very many, that's a big clue that the product is full of stuff that your body can't use...

I agree about moderation being the key to a healthy lifestyle for most of us. It's a simple and powerful philosophy of living life that I've used successfully too.

Thanks again Jewel,

Sincerely,
BB
