Is your health dragging you down?
Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired?

improving health frustration
Improving your health can be frustrating if you don't know what to do!

Several years ago, my health was dragging me down, down to the level of only being able to hang out in bed or sit on my butt most of the time. After a stroke, heart attack and heart weakening, my physical condition was "in the toilet."

I didn't know enough about what it takes to be healthy in order to do anything about my condition, but I sure wanted to regain my energy and physical wellness.

I suffered from debilitating, exhausting side effects from the prescription drugs I was taking. I got to the point where I really wanted to feel better so I could enjoy my life more, but didn't know where to start... I was uneducated on living a healthy lifestyle or ways to stay healthy. Needless to say, I was very frustrated!

If you've arrived here to find answers to the questions, "How do I improve my health? What are the ways to stay healthy? What ARE the basics of good health?" - you're at the right place.

The problem: Lack of general knowledge of the fundamentals of health

The situation I discovered when searching for useful information to improve my health and physical wellness was a lack of simple basics. I could not find any sort of basic health education in plain English, and I realized that it certainly wasn't ever taught in grade school or even high school. Well, I thought that was weird. All workable subjects have basics! Nothing I researched was very simple, much of the data I studied was conflicting, incomplete or blatantly false and certainly confusing!

The solution: Health basics in plain English

This site presents the answers to the questions above - the simple basics of health fished from a sea of confusing and misleading information. Health improvement CAN be simple when you know the fundamental ways to improve your health and the basic ways to stay healthy. How do I know? I've applied them to my own health and gotten positive results. Who needs more proof than that?

"This site doesn't bombard me and make me feel like I have to do sooooooo much to improve my health that I give up before I start...

I've been looking for weeks for a health site that I could actually use and keep referring to without being "turned off" by it's complexity or expecting too much of me to want to go back. Thanks for that. Your site is great."

You probably have a good idea of what it takes to improve your level of health, energy and wellness - but with all the bits and pieces of health information that we get bombarded with, information that is conflicting, incomplete or even outright false, how can we decide for ourselves what's true even if we had enough time to check it all out??

Having tons of conflicting and erroneous data makes it almost impossible to understand things and hides the simple, yet powerful basics under a mountain of confusion.

You CAN do something about feeling better and increasing your energy. It's not hopeless like I once felt it was. It comes from knowing and understanding the basics so that you can apply them to yourself.

four basic elements of health

These are the four basic elements that the body requires in order to function well:

  1. Nutrition (food and what you consume)

  2. Physical Activity and Exercise (related but not the same thing)

  3. Sleep

  4. Stress Management

"This website is wonderful, thank you. You have a wonderful way of teaching!! This info would be good for anyone (i.e. not too complicated for a "beginner," but also great reminders for any of us!) I will definitely use this & also pass this on."

~ Cathy, California USA

My philosophy is that improving and maintaining our health should be enjoyable! Taking care of our health should become "second nature" to us, not something we dread or try and force ourselves to do.

Our health plays a huge role in the enjoyment of our lives. It doesn't make sense that grunting and groaning and having a hard time would work to achieve something that makes you feel good does it? How could you really achieve anything if getting there was painful?

So come on in, let's grab something to wet our whistles and chat about taking charge of our bodies - and most importantly, enjoying our lives more!

Cheers!
